FOMS

Fear Of Missing Something.
In an attempt to give myself more time for things around here, I am confronting my FOMS and have resigned myself to missing the homeschool retreat next week in Ft Wayne, have made myself delete some Looper posts unread (ouch!), and unsubscribed to about 1/3 of the blogs I read (ouch again!). I have also once again steeled myself against the temptation to join Facebook. I am hoping to be able to learn to control my computer time without having to totally ban myself from online friends.

    I resisted Facebook for a long time, but finally signed up so that I could visit the page of an old college roommate. But I have done nothing with my Facebook profile and don't plan to, and since I am in contact with most of my Facebook "friends" in other places I do very little messaging or posting or playing there. I have also neglected Wittenberg Trail for months. But it's nice to know both connections are there if I want them.

    I have facebook, did stuff on it for a month, got burned out on it. WT took even less time.

    I have a blog to keep, people! :)

    Nowadays I just post on WT what I wouldn't want the Methodists to see. :)

    The particular Methodists I had in mind shouldn't have enough time to devote to WT, but they read NR. I'm not worried about all Methodists. :)
