The tile was installed during Eastertide this year. We worshiped down in Loehe from mid-April to early June.
The acoustics are much better. Here's what's interesting: the way the room carries sound changed. The high notes carry better. They had to have the organ adjusted because the high pitches were overwhelming the lower notes. That also means the sopranos and tenors have more "power" than we did in the days of carpet, in comparison to how the alto and bass notes carry.
Oh, Nathan, I should also mention that we don't have the chancel furnishings yet. We're making do with a table for the altar, and the one lectern-on-wheels for the lectern/pulpit. The plan was for the altar & lectern & pulpit to be dedicated sometime during Epiphany. But Al (who's making it) has been a wee bit preoccupied with major surgery for his recently diagnosed cancer.
The organ hasn't been adjusted yet... just haven't gotten that far, but maybe I've fooled you into thinking it has! :-) I enjoyed your pictures (and would love you to email me some...) Except that fat lady conducting needs to go on a diet! So where did we eat for dinner? Culvers!
Swinging from one extreme to the other, either busy or vegging, orderly or cluttered, meals par excellence or insta-food, schoolwork all day or not at all. Good thing my husband is well-balanced.
Have I been in Peace since the floors were done? I don't remember. In any case, it looks nice! And it looks like it would have incredible acoustics...
