Ah, so beautiful! We don't have them in town, and I almost stopped the car on the way back from church because I spotted some. I don't know what I would do if I ended up living somewhere with none at all.
Lilies make me think of my daughter too. There was a huge bouquet of them on the altar the day of her baptism. Do you remember that Susan? I'll never forget.
She's going to be FIVE!!! It is unbelievable to me. For some reason I expect my oldest to grow up...but the rest should just stay little.
That Wednesday of symposium, Lily sat on my lap through much of the afternoon presentation. There were lilies on the altar, and I pointed them out to her. She responded with a "yeah, I know" that seemed to me like she was a little sorry that I didn't realize that she would of course recognize lilies. I was wondering then if she really does know them, or if she was just being agreeable.
And I wondered at her baptism if the lilies were there because she's Lily, or if it was a lovely coincidence.
Swinging from one extreme to the other, either busy or vegging, orderly or cluttered, meals par excellence or insta-food, schoolwork all day or not at all. Good thing my husband is well-balanced.
Ah, so beautiful!

Love the picture.

I can't believe she's going to be 5 either!
