Youth Group Poll

I assume most homeschooling families would respond in the same way I would. But I'm not sure about non-homeschooling families.

Would you send your kids to a youth group where the leader attends church several times a year and where the pastor would not be allowed to be involved?

  1. Why would the pastor not be allowed? This is where I have trouble with this question. I personally would not send my children due to the fact that the pastor is our spiritual leader and he should be consulted on what is taught etc. at youth group.

  3. Our kids do not attend youth group at our church as the pastor has not been involved. However, we're hoping that will change with our new pastor. It looks like he's dealing with things one at a time, and I don't know where the youth group is in his priority list. For now he's tackling the adult Bible study and attendance is up so much we're busting out of the room!

  4. Okay, so you guys had the same response I did. I was beginning to wonder if I was completely out of touch with reality to think that that kind of youth group wasn't exactly the best plan.

  5. A youth group isn't a money-saving option, if that's where this came from...

You're right, Rachel. I hadn't thought of that. If we're needing to cut costs, starting a youth group is NOT the way to do it.
