Flurries

Growing up, I expected some snow before Thanksgiving. When we moved north, it was not shocking if there were snow or flurries before my son Paul's birthday. Then we spent a long time living on the IL/WI border, and we were not surprised if we had a few flurries prior to Halloween.

But good grief: it's October 10! It's snowing outside. (Better than snowing inside, I always say....)

I think Al Gore owes us reparations.

  1. I like warmth, but I'm just so glad it's gotten cooler here.
Nathan doesn't understand but it confuses my body to have it getting dark by 7:30-7:45 and still be 80 degrees outside.

  4. How many miles east, northeast, we had bright sushine all day. 35 degrees, and a cold wind, but sunshine. Brrr

  5. I reeeeeally want to tell you about the weather we're currently experiencing, but I won't. I'll spare you this time. :) Lets just say that I'm VERY glad to be living down here, especially when I hear that it's snowing in WI.

  6. Katie and Meghan, I'm sure you know that we could all drive to your homes and invade you and your warmth, begging to be fed and entertained while we soak up some warm sunshine.

  7. Warmth and sunshine are highly overrated!

Since we haven't had any precipitation for almost 6 months and are just coming out of a very long summer of triple digit temps I would be very happy to see snow :)
