Lunacy

If the repairman with the backhoe comes in trepidation to your door, full of apologies, and tells you that he cut your fuel line (because the fuel-company was WAY off when they marked the buried pipes),

if your response is to laugh because, of course, what ELSE would we expect (!!!),

are you still sane?

Or do you just pat yourself on the back for having had the foresight to tell all the kids to enjoy REAL showers last night?

  1. Susan,

I pronounce you sane! I laughed when I cut our own propane line last spring. I rented a big John Deere tractor to plow up a garden at our new place. Then I decided I'd surprise Lorrie by digging up a flower bed for her about 20 feet out from the house. LIttle did I know that the propane line "detoured" out there for no apparent reason. We evacuated the house and called out the propanemaster. He was amused.

I'm glad my pipe had gone out whilst I was ploughing.

The Gehlbachs are in our prayers. God bless you for your extreme patience in this situation.

  2. Now, when I was growing up, in this sort of a situation, we would have said, "WAWA." (West Africa Wins Again!) but of course, you're not in West Africa...

Glad no explosions were had but showers were.

  3. Aaron, you pronounce me sane because I responded the same way you did. Hmmmm. Let's hope you're sane enough that I can trust your opinion! LOL!

So, did Lorrie end up with a flower garden to enjoy in "payment" for having to evacuate?
