The word
fair sometimes means beautiful and pleasant. And yet we more often use the word
fair to mean impartial or just or free from bias. What if the second meaning
developed from the first? Wouldn't it make sense that being impartial and free from bias is a pleasing and beautiful way for a judge or court to operate?
