Remember the cartoons or the sit-coms where they would show some ditzy old lady looking for her glasses? She would be fruitlessly searching through the house with the glasses perched on top of her head. I always thought that was so dumb. It wasn't funny. Nothing like that could ever happen in real life.
And then last week I spent half an hour searching for my glasses, only to find them on top of my head. Do you suppose I ought to buy a pair that I can actually read through, rather than having to constantly remove them and wear them like a headband?
I know a certain someone named Cindi who totally feels your pain...
ReplyDeleteBut she's not an old lady...
ReplyDeleteBuying the no-line bifocals makes life so much simpler!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Anonymous. I find the practicality of bifocals to make them worth the expense.
ReplyDeleteSandy, "Anonymous" is my mom. She loves the no-line, and Gary hated them! I've been waiting for January so that I have HSA dollars to pay for new glasses, and now I can make the appointment. I don't know whether to go with the line or no-line.
ReplyDeleteMom, Gary wonders if astigmatism makes the no-line harder to wear. Do you have astigmatism? I only had a touch of it, but it's gotten a lot worse in the last 5 years, and even more so since my last ophthomologist visit.
I need new glasses, too. The plastic is peeling off in sheets and my lenses are cracked. Argh!
